The evolving story of Sendache Bernese continues to unfold. My passion is definitely showing in the conformation ring. I have been fortunate to have exhibited many wonderful representatives of this special breed, and to have forged so many friendships along the way. I breed 1-2 litters a year, and try to register all the names in the litter with a common word or theme. We try to keep our resident number of bernese under five, and we can always count on an extra few visiting for breeding or showing. I enjoy working with co-breeders and puppy buyers; sharing in the many highs and lows of dog breeding. Many of our most promising puppies often come back to visit; when it’s time for training and pursuing their show careers. It is an arrangement that works beautifully for me because I love to show dogs!!

The SENDACHE kennel name is a combination of the last 3 letters of Matthisen and the last 5 letters of Jordache. Jordache was my very first BMD and endeared me to the breed for life. My passion began 1989 with the arrival of a special little 8wk old male from the Shersan “J” litter. He went on to become the Best in Show winner, CH. Shersan Jordache In Command. Always a group contender with his effortless movement and strong ring presence, he was also sweet enough to serve as a junior showmanship dog for several young handlers at the time. |
